Le Parisien TV make a video montage in honour of Ireland and declare Irish football fans the best in the world

AS WELL as Ireland's recent winning ways on the pitch at the Euros, on the streets of Paris, Lille and everywhere in France they go, Irish football fans are scoring points too.

The good humour and behaviour of the Irish fans has stood out in stark relief, with the beginning of the tournament marred by violent clashes between some Russian and English supporters.

So far we've seen the fans in green help an elderly couple to change a tire, go around the fan zone picking up rubbish and even donate their own money for repairs when a car's roof was accidentally dented.

While the fans' high jinx have been going viral in Britain and Ireland, the French seem to be taking note too.

Yesterday the Irish Post was sent a picture of a sign written by French hotel staff thanking the Irish fans for being such a joy to deal with and wishing them the best for the rest of EURO 2016.

Now Le Parisien TV has compiled a touching montage of their favourite Irish fan moments so far.

The short clip includes footage of some Irish fans on the tram singing to a baby, serenading a French nun, chanting 'Stand Up for the French Police', flirting with French women and pulling off an impressive crowd surfing trick with a bicycle.

Take a look below...
