EIRE OG
Our reserve team suffered a disappointing defeat against Harlesden Harps in the league last Thursday evening. After an excellent start Eire Og had a commanding lead for most of the game. However, Harseden rallied late in the game and finished strong to win by two points. Stand out players for Eire Og were Caolan Conroy and Sean McGrath. The club wishes a speedy recovery to Kenneth Feely who suffered a horrific shoulder injury. Neither the juniors nor reserves have a game this weekend. Training takes place Tuesdays at 7.30pm at our home ground in Downhills Park, N17 6BP. New players are always very welcome to join our friendly club. If you are moving to London we can assist new players with accommodation and employment. Transport to and from training and pick-up from tube and train stations can be arranged, if you would like to join our club, please contact Jimmy Holly on 0785 854 7295 or check out our website www.eireoglondon.org

ROGER CASEMENTS
The club is currently enjoying its 60th anniversary and to mark the occasion, the Ann Boyle memorial trophy match was contested as an in-house Roger Casements men’s match of youth verses experience. It was a hotly contested affair and a high scoring game with the joy of youth finally accomplishing bragging rights on the final whistle. Sean O Sullivan accepted the cup on behalf of his team. Thankfully this year, we were blessed with a dry day and the competitions were enjoyed by all involved. Five underage tournaments were held throughout the day with a shield and cup winner emerging from each group.

GLASGOW GAELS
Congratulations to our Gaels ladies who made history on Saturday, winning their first Scottish League Title! The girls put in a convincing performance scoring 4-17 to 0-0 against Aberdeen. The ladies will face them again in the first round of the championship in two weeks’ time. Well done to the Scotland team on Sunday who put in a serious second-half performance against Warwickshire. Unfortunately, the lads came up short in the end, but well done to all who travelled down. Our U14 squad had a brilliant day out on Sunday going up against teams from Scotland and Dublin. Some of our youngsters also represented Scotland on our Féile teams, playing well against the Dublin sides. The future is bright for the Gaels! The club would like to thank everyone who came out to our Race Night this past Saturday, it was a huge success and we're now looking forward to our Family Fun Fair in Clydebank on the 19th of June from 12-4pm.

LONDON YOUTH COMMITTEE
London GAA will run a Safeguarding Course on Saturday the 18th of June from 10am-1pm at Irish TV GAA Grounds, Ruislip. This Course is limited to 25 people and in the interest of fairness, only accept five nominations from each Club. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please contact the CDA Lloyd Colfer 078 72600073 if you are interested. Finally, under the new guidelines from the Provincial Council of Britain GAA, anyone involved with teams that have players under the age of 18 must be DBS certified, complete a Coaching Course and also, a Safeguarding Course so it is imperative that we get as many people as possible to attend these Courses over the coming weeks and months.
